    good hullo,
Second week of hell is over. Yet I can’t get a break quite yet since work has piled up. Thankfully it’s much lighter & can be cleared within a few days. Then I’ll hopefully be able to write to my heart’s content.
Finished developing some sort of comm program that utilizes AX25. It feels enlightening to be able to learn more by directly programming at this level of the OSI, which is between 2 & 3 or a bit of both. Reading up on all the nuances that goes into certain fields & how they subsequently affect other fields is quite exhausting but fulfilling work. I’ve now managed to implement sending ISU frames on unspecified layer 3 protocols which honestly is nothing compared to the overall potential of AX25 but still personally amounts to something. Funnily enough, all the work low-level work I’ve done in bin exploitation is seeing effect in stuff like this. Encoding with little endian & manipulating bits through shfts & whatnot sorta come naturally now.
I will definitely continue to polish this AX25 program, but I also have another pressing program to develop that requires lazy segtree. It’s been a long while since I touched competitive coding, & was never quite good at it either. I’ll also be coding it in C, my most native tongue in programming(noone considers ASM a language). This is bound to be fun. All in all, I’ve just really got my work cut out for me in the coming days.
Finished Anzu-tan’s route. Simply put, it was good. An interesting thing I find about Anzu’s route, or maybe more apt to say Clover Day’s (though I haven’t read other routes) is the clear romantic conflicts. It adds mroe depths to the relationships & choices, as I personally felt. Whereas in Riddle Joker & many vns only one heroine ends up liking the MC & the rest magically don’t. This cohesiveness definitely gives more to the story. Anzu’s route deals with grief & family, & does it well. I really wanted to appreciate it more, but I have been so accustomed to Key works that it unfortunately falls short of golden standards such as Clannad. Nonetheless, I did enjoy it despite lacking just a small push to make it amazing. I’ll give credit to the writing, as there was a rather good balance in themes & shifting from one to the other. Pivoting from Anzu’s grief to Shion’s & using family as the driving theme was a great idea especially since the various plot points were spread out evenly. Despite how well this was balanced, I again felt that it fell just short of leaving the overall story with a great lasting impact. I also definitely wished they delved a bit deeper into the backstory/childhood since that was where most of Anzu’s romantic motivations stemmed. Good route. Will most likely do Anri’s next, though I fear I may be running through all the good ones.
